Aeroplane Testing

For two weeks Room 4 did aeroplane testing for maths. We had to create four paper planes and test them four times each. While testing we had to measure how far it flew, and how far its wing span was. The minimum of how short it had to be was 4 cm, after we tested we had to pick which one went the furthest for a small plane competition, I came third, after the competition we had put all the measurements and data we collected  into a statistical investigation. Which is now displayed in our classroom.
My personal thoughts are it was a interesting and very fun way to do mathematics because it isn't something ordinary you do in maths.

  1. It certainly does sound like an interesting way to learn maths Armani. Can you give me a brief synopsis of what data you gathered and how you displayed the information?
