The prefects of Poukawa School went on a trip to Palmerston North, for National Young Leaders Day 2014. There were five speakers; Jamie Fitzgerald, Angela Swann-Cronin, Nakita Turner, Charlie Laumatia and Cam Calkoen.
When we walked in, the theme was 3D. It means Dream, Dare, Develop. The packs we got given contained; a booklet, a pen and 3D glasses. The MC's were Gemma Knight and Dave Atkinson.
My favourite speakers were; Charlie Laumatia and Nakita Turner. Charlie was one of my favourite speakers because; he had a great sense of humour and told funny stories. Nakita Turner was one of my favourites also because; she was genuine. She helps others with bullying and stands up for what she believes in.
Some of the highlights of the day were when The Laughing Samoans did a retake on The Three Little Pigs, when Dave and Gemma danced in onsies to "Turn Down For What" and when they took a big selfie.
What an awesome day. Thank you to Poukawa School for taking us.
